2010 Engineers Week Banquet
February 18, 2010 at Doubletree Hotel, San Jose, CA
The SVEC honored Richard Elkus and Alan Title for their remarkable contributions by welcoming them into its Hall of Fame. Banquet featured the California High Speed Rail Project by Robert Doty (Peninsula Rail Program Director) and Timothy Cobb (SF to SJ Segment Project Manager). Scholarships were awarded to seven students for academic excellence in engineering education.
From the SVEC President Dhaval Brahmbhatt to all those that helped with this banquet including council members, volunteers, and sponsors:
I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your excellent support and superb performance. We had a great event we can all be proud of, and the team work made it happen!
Regards,
Dhaval J. Brahmbhatt

The 2010 SVEC Journal of technical papers written by engineers in our member organizations is now available for free (click the link). Many thanks to all contributors and to our editor Amip Shah.
Our previous 2009 SVEC Journal is available as well
We would love to hear about any links you think we should add and ideas to make information better organized and more usable. SVEC now has the resources to better become a focus of the local tech community and go on to even greater things! Help us build this website into a terrific resource to assist our member organizations and the technical community with links to professional training, volunteer opportunities reaching out to kids, and publicity for our member organization events and programs. We have added an online calendar of Bay Area technical events.
