Our speaker this month is Linda Hutchins-Knowles, the Multi-Family Housing Senior Manager for nonprofit Charge Across Town, educating apartment and condo residents about the benefits of driving an EV. She also serves on the leadership team of the EV Charging for All Coalition (EVCAC) and is the Co-founder and Team Coordinator of Mothers Out Front Silicon Valley. In both of these volunteer roles, she advocates for equitable EV charging building codes.
In her presentation, Linda will:
• share recent advances to the statewide building code that, if approved, will greatly expand access to charging for residents of apartments and condos
• describe San Jose’s proposed new building reach code for EV charging in new multi-family housing
• explain how EVASV supporters can help make San Jose’s proposed code more equitable before the Council votes on January 30
This will be our first chapter meeting of 2024, and this is an in-person event. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to rsvp20240120@sunnyvista.net. RSVP is not required, however it will help us get an idea of how much coffee and pastries to bring. You can just show up, as long as you are healthy. A slide deck will be made available with meeting highlights, for those who cannot attend.
