**Description**
**Speaker:** Jon Karafin, CEO and Co-Founder, **[Light Field Lab, Inc](https://www.lightfieldlab.com).**, will present the latest developments in Light Field Lab’s SolidLight holographic display technology, including insights into the creative and technical implications for content creation.
Karafin has an extensive background in light field and visual effects technology, having previously held executive roles at Lytro, RealD and Digital Domain. During his tenure, he was responsible for ushering in a new era of cinematic capture through the launch of Lytro Cinema, as well as delivering technology and content for many of the highest-grossing feature films, including Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit, Michael Bay’s Transformers 3, and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Karafin has presented at a range of industry events and conferences about the evolution of light field technology and its impact on future display implementations, including AWE, NAB, SIGGRAPH and the Visual Effects Society (VES).
Recognized as one of TIME’s [BEST INVENTIONS OF 2022](https://time.com/collection/best-inventions-2022), SolidLight is the highest-resolution holographic display platform ever designed, enabling real digital objects to form in mid-air without headgear. The hardware features self-emissive bezel-less panels that assemble into modular holographic video walls. SolidLight technologies combine to offer a turn-key system solution for a wide range of next-generation experiences.
