SUMMARY:Robust Control of Distributed Parameter Systems
DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\nWe review some important robust control problems for distributed parameter systems: robust stabilization\, mixed sensitivity minimization\, and strong stabilization (feedback stabilization by a stable controller). Computational tools are presented for finding infinite-dimensional optimal controllers. Alternative finite-dimensional controller design methods are illustrated via a benchmark example (retarded time-delay systems with finitely many unstable poles).
